Robber Barons Sketch Comedy is the student sketch comedy group at Stanford University. Begun as a class in 2008, the Robber Barons have since become an institution at Stanford, putting on an entirely original, full-length sketch comedy show every academic quarter of the school year and additionally performing at various events campus-wide, such as New Student Orientation. They have also performed off campus at SF Sketchfest 2010, the Purple Onion and Dark Room in San Francisco, and Second City, I.O. West, and Laugh Factory in Los Angeles. All of the group’s performances are entirely written, produced, and performed by the group.

The group aims to create new, funny, and innovative sketch comedy for the campus community and beyond. They also individually each aim to graduate on time. Side of effects of the Robber Barons include laughing, chuckling, giggling, thinking, smiling, and possibly diarrhea, depending on what you ate.
